Pelican's bill is open, with droplets of water and a few small mosquito fish visible. Only the bill, the head, and the very front of the pellie's body are showing; its head is slightly turned toward the viewer, appearing to make eye contact. It's paddling in a lake that's reflecting green foliage in the background.

Mostly slate blue bird with large pointed black bill is starting a fishing dive down and away from her perch. She has a white front collar, white patches on her wings and white spots on her tail feathers. Her wings are downward and out, her tail is flipped up a bit and the background is blurry late summer foliage.

I’m in Orange County. Typically they can be seen at Bolsa Chica, San Joaquin Marsh, Irvine Regional, and Fairview Park during winter.

And away we go into a weekend! A trio of Black-bellied Plovers take flight. It's no longer breeding season, so they don't have their namesake black bellies any longer. #birds #flyday #naturephotography #sonyalpha

Three birds take off from shallow water. They are white with black spots on the upper side of their wings, their faces and throats. Their bills and eyes are black. Their undersides are mostly white, except for a patch of black at the base of their wings that's only visible with their wings up. The bird closest is leaving a muddy splash in his wake as he takes flight.

Agree, there's extra $$$ burden for us who are/have been married & had a name change: disenfranchising women seems to be another part of RW agenda. What you mean by OOC though? - I understand that to mean "out of character" or "out of context"

Provide all citizens w/ a national ID card at $0 & I've no issue with a requirement to provide that card number with mail-in registration or show the card in person. Requiring people to spend the money on a passport disenfranchises low income voters, which one suspects is the purpose here.

Week is off to a good start for this Black & White Warbler as she snags a big juicy insect for breakfast.

Blue states should be as slow as legally possible about sending tax payments that fund the federal govt if the feds are putting a hold on funds that were legislated by Congress, just saying.
