Awesome, it’s a beautiful thing. Enjoy it!

Thanks to @starlightk7.bsky.social, we now have an open source project that allows you to build a SNES from scratch! This project is great for console preservation and can resurrect a dead SNES.

Check out the install video here:

I totally agree, the design language of Japanese computers from the 80s and 90s is the absolute best

It’s a beautiful thing to get another Sharp X68000 XVI running again! This one had bad video output because two buffers had failed.

Replaced them both and we are back in business!

It’s wild that Nintendo’s final composite video only console was released back in 2013!

The Wii Mini has lots of limitations but thanks to @webhdx.bsky.social and others we can restore all those lost features. Check out the install video here:

Home sweet home for me! I no longer live in the city but it’s a short train ride to get there
1uprestorations.bsky.social
That would be awesome but you would have to run a test first. It’s only some versions of the pro that are affected so yours might be fine

Yes, I could definitely do a video on this. I would just need another Mega Everdrive Pro here in order to do it. Thankfully it’s not too difficult and you just need some experience with surface mount soldering

And here's the same track with the upgraded op amp. Thanks to @zaxour.bsky.social for his help with this and finding a suitable replacement!

Here's the original op amp with clear CDDA distortion...
1uprestorations.bsky.social
Just finished upgrading the op amp in a Mega Everdrive Pro for a customer of mine. The stock op amp works fine for regular Genesis audio, but it has issues with CDDA audio when using CD audio enhanced Genesis games. With the new amp, everything sounds perfect! Sound comparisons below:

Also a huge shoutout to @consolesunleashed.bsky.social for the amazing mods they make for the SMS! I love the simplicity of their designs and excellent documentation

This Sega Master System has every mod imaginable and I love it! Dual pause mod, switchless region and fm audio, new BIOS, new caps, and @zaxour.bsky.social amazing RGB bypass mod!
Zaxour’s RGB bypass produces the best RGB I’ve ever seen on the SMS, plus s-video and composite restore!

This week I built an SMTendo by @zaxour.bsky.social and I’m really impressed with the results! The stock composite video looks great and adding NESRGB was a breeze!

This week I built an Opentendo Toploader NES for @choppedup4lyfe.bsky.social and I love how it looks! Installed a hi def NES kit and the original RF modulator so you can see the between hdmi and messy jailbar RF

Awesome, thanks so much for letting me know and I’ll order those chips ASAP!

Hey @zarithya.online, I’m trying to build these adapters you made but I don’t know which buffer is used. The schematic says a 74LS540, but that doesn’t fit the pcb footprint. Can you let me know which one is used?
1uprestorations.bsky.social
Yeah it certainly wasn’t pretty and it took a while to make sure everything was connected properly

Another Neo Geo AES repair this weekend! This one had graphical glitches and the previous owner tried reflowing the LSPC2, with disastrous results.

I fixed the bridges, bent pins, and lifted pads, and then found the final problem: a cut trace between L0 and a buffer. Glad to see it alive again!
