Saw a “YouTuber” asking how Alyssa could afford a Ally X during a lawsuit. Then The Guardian drops a new article by Alyssa putting the new Xbox handheld through its paces.

Great article. Makes me want one. Would I drop a grand on one? No. But her article makes me want one.

Was hoping that the new @hbomberguy.bsky.social video would be coming “any day now” but hearing parts still have to be filmed and that @lolkat.bsky.social suffered an injury (feel better Kat!) means it probably isn’t coming for awhile.

Going to say it now: cancel Christmas.

Weapons was just as amazing as everyone has said. A well done horror. It’s very interesting at first but the further you get into the film and the stories come together, the better it gets. The last 20-30 minutes has you at the edge of your seat. I can’t wait to watch it again.

A tie between John Wick 1 and Bogus Journey. Bogus Journey is one of the best sequels ever made and John Wick is such a great action film.

Using self shot cell phone footage from inside a prison, The Alabama Solution shows the true horrors of life in an Alabama prison. It’s scary as hell with horrid conditions like a third world country. Scary as fuck and makes me horrified for what prisoners have to go through.

Primitive War is 1000 times better than Jurassic World Rebirth. It’s a Predator ripoff subbing out the Predator for dinosaurs, maybe with a bit too much plot. But there’s killer dinosaurs and lots of action so I can’t complain too much. Plus Jeremy Piven as a bearded Colonel!

RIP Diane Keaton - you wonderful soul. Such a unique actress. So witty, wonderful, and charming. I could watch her in any movie from any decade and love her. Even recent films like Poms and the Book Club movies were fun.

So The Place Beyond The Pines had a great cast, well acted, well written, but was super slow. I swear the movie was four hours long. Ryan Gosling was the best part but didn’t deserve top billing.

John Candy: I Like Me. Nice sad documentary looking at Candy’s life with costar interviews- many from SCTV. Very serious, took Candy’s life serious. Very sad.

Watched @alexwinter.com dour crime drama Adulthood. Gave me a better appreciation for Josh Gad’s acting. Movie never played the bad situations for comic effect. I could appreciate that. I think Alex Winter should direct more feature films. Well and more docs. Just more everything.

I can see why they shelved Toxic Avenger 2025. It’s such a weird, off film. Weirdly paced and edited. None of that classic Troma comedy charm. I don’t get why they played THE TOXIC AVENGER so straight. I would have loved to see what Lloyd Kaufman could have done with the budget.

Watching Death In Apartment 603. What a miscarriage of justice. Ellen Greenberg was such a beautiful young woman and I can’t believe the quick results attained by the Philadelphia PD. It makes zero sense to me. How did they not investigate further?!?

I’m so happy Shout Factory is broadcasting Kamen Rider Zeztz free on YouTube. It’s been so much fun watching this week after week as it premieres in Japan. Episode 4 might have been a setup episode but the new Rider powers are so much fun.

Bill Paxton is the only actor to die from a Terminator, Predator, and Alien. While Lance Henriksen’s Bishop was torn apart by the Alien Queen he didn’t cease to function. That happened when Ripley shut him down in Alien 3.

I’ve seen Mitchell once. I’ve seen the MST3K episode of Mitchell maybe a dozen times.

Beyond that I’ve seen him when he pops up in films like the Bond movies.

Just caught up on Kamen Rider Zeztz episode 3. I love the Freddy Krueger style of the show with the Rider entering dreams. It’s a lot of fun. I love the lighting on the Rider’s suit. Looks stunning onscreen.

Bored watching Final Reckoning, I’m imagining the next Mission Impossible film. Have Glen Powell joining the IMF as the new guy on a team that includes Paula Patton and Iko Uwais. Also bring Jeremy Renner back as CIA director William Brandt. Bring the franchise back to basics.
