Jiji can be surprisingly ambitious when his goal is "chaos." 😹✨

A 4-Panel Comic. 1st Panel: A black cat (Jiji) is carefully climbing over an empty ceramic pot while weaving through other pots, glassware, and vases all laid out on a table.

2nd Panel: Jiji continues past more fragile pots and bottles, hopping past an open bag of potting soil and a trowel.

First attempt at a handmade birthday card with pressed flowers from my garden. I hope it holds up in the mail! 🤞

A downside: I'm at the point in all of them when I start to worry that they're bad and then avoid working on them just in case I'm right and everyone will see that I'm Bad at Crafts and then they'll think that forever.

For some unknown reason, almost every light fixture in our house uses a different kind of bulb. We can't keep track of what kind to buy, so we cut the front off of the bulb boxes and taped it on the inside of our pantry as a reference sheet.

I think people outside teaching think younger students = easier work. I have found the exact opposite to be true! The younger my students are, the *more* energy, effort, and educational knowledge is required of me.

Plus, it's the first non-teaching job I've had where I don't have to pretend to be busy when it's quiet. I get a lot of crafting done on night shifts.

I'm a 911 operator, and I'm having a great time. I get to help people with their problems, I get to sound cool over the radio, and I have health insurance for the first time in my professional life (former music adjunct).
