The thing that really worries me? They are deleting data from govt websites. Deleting data, hello? Aside from the fact that we look so dumb to the rest of the world, we're also losing decades of institutional information. These yahoos are anti-science, anti-education, and anti-record keeping.

Originalists are crackpots. Crackpots with a branch in every law school nation-wide -- Harvard, Stanford, Princeton etc. They think we must line up America with the ORIGINAL intent of the Founding Fathers. Slaves and women had no rights, yo. Originalism is just another way of normalizing racism.

It's so frustrating that the Roberts SCOTUS upholds the power of the executive branch over Congress. Congress already allocated the money to govt departments that are now being shut down by Russell Vought (also a member of the Federalist Society, like the SCOTUS 6)

They believe in the originalist interpretation of the Constitution. Uh, wasn't "back then" also when women and slaves had no rights? Originalism is just a cover for institutionalized racism.

If a justice says he/she/they want to uphold the 2nd Amendment, you can be 100% sure he/she/they are members of the Federalist Society (the Roberts SCOTUS? The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco? Aileen Cannon LOL?)

If u ask me, originalism is a very extreme, very narrow interpretation of the constitution by the Federalist Society. The fact that most of this SCOTUS espouse it means the SCOTUS ITSELF is a very extreme, very narrow (and bonkers) group of people & the Federalist Society has too much power.

How do the originalists view women's rights? Because if they want everything to go back to when the Constitution was penned, women didn't have equal rights. So women get to forget ERA and give up the right to vote? I mean, originalism doesn't mean cherry picking. Or does it?

"The only reason we have a 5 day work week . . . was that people fought and at times died . . . " Yes. And also because we didn't have the Roberts Supreme Court serving everything up for the Federalist Society originalists and other crackpots.

I can't understand why the winner of this year's Nobel Peace Prize offered it to, of all people, Donald Trump. There was a very specific reason the Nobel Committee gave it to her despite hard campaigning for it by Trump. And then she turns around and says, This should go to Trump! What.

I’m stressed and sad about what is happening to America. However, all politics aside, the depth of my sadness today is mostly the loss of Diane Keaton. What a different world we got to experience when she was entertaining us. Such joy, light and levity we don’t get to experience anymore since trump.
