immediately tripped and fell into finding out about bo ruberg's ideas of "play[ing] beyond fun", examining how games can encourage "negative emotions that challenge how we imagine playing videogames can, does, and should feel" girls i've won the lottery (exactly what's been on my mind a lot lately)

Totally! A lot of cinema studies overlaps really well too, like Linda Williams’s idea of body genres. But i am super curious what work there might be in games studies that could give me helpful frameworks to build off of, esp re: interactivity
