Lover of the arts, still, a believer in humanity and science; master of nothing. Going up river with my son now firmly at the bow, my brother always at the sterrn, and me, senses fully awake tucked in the middle, taking in all the beauty.

The most important values I hold dear to my heart are found in this wonderful basket. They are under grave threat at this time. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are the center of what I hope for my dear country Canada. It is what seperates us from our neighbour and I will defend them. I will resist.

… and the American people elected this lunatic twice!!!
We supported America for the second time in Ottawa, Canada yesterday at our “No Tyrants” protest, but we will not buy your products or travel to your nation because we have been clearly told by your lunatic administration which Americans elected twice is a direct threat to our sovereignty.
We had our second one in Ottawa, Canada today and across Canada in many cities. We clearly know the threat America is to our sovereignty.
Yup. Years and years ago we called it the “ugly American,” though it went away for awhile. However, it is now back in spades. Unfortunate for those who are clearly not.
Today in Ottawa, Canada we are now holding our second "NO Tyrants Day" in solidarity with our neighbouring American brothers and sisters. And while we may groan, hold our noses, get pissed of at and grumble about your lunatics make no doubt about it... we support you! Go America go! #NoKings
Yes it is Paul. I do not know how you are managing it all. I do know at times I've dispaired at events of the day, yet know well that holding out for hope, seeing out the positive with friends and strangers alike while still seeking out beauty is an act of resistance in itself. Cheers to you. 👍🙂
Had a wonderful evening with my cousin and his wife up from the US this evening in Canada. They want us to visit as I travel there every year, but not this year as they believe crossing the border to be dangerous. Attending a "No Tyrant's" protest at the American embassy in Ottawa Tomorrow. Cheers.
Had a wonderful dinner with my cousin and his wife in Canada today and while they want my son and I to visit them in North Carolina stated that now it is definitly not the time to cross the border. As a white male I know too that as my son of mixed race could suffer the evil that is America today.
...and with impunity and the tacit approval of the President of the United States.
Does anyone still believe that the American armed forces serve and protect the constitution of the United States of America or fully support their "dear leader?" As a Canadian this is definitely not clear to me.
I don't care... Just more "cultural" BS from a country awash in BS.
One can only blame the American people who give these individuals power to rule over them rather than for them over and over and over again.

I want you to know that I appreciate this post and your solidarity with the good. In this post-truth world where so many of us are addicted to our force feed algorithms and pablum it is nice to see someone who stays the course and cares for the good. thank you.
At my advancing age I'm still unapologetically a hopeless romantic with my own rom-com section of DVDs. Today with the sad passing of a beloved actress, Diane Keaton I am reminded of her many wonderful films from my first, "Annie Hall" in 1977 to "Something's Gotta Give" and many more... Sad now.

Hang in there Zee. You have a good heart ❤️. That is comforting to know.
I remember being up late into the evening as a teenanger and finding this utterly bizarre American preacher on TV and thinking he was nuts. I asked myself, "I wonder what the United States will be like in 30 years?" I'm 68 now and Canadian. 51 years later America is way Beyond the "Twilight Zone."
Are these your photos, because I absolutely love them?

i know you think words bind us, one to another... but who do you share the moon with? for she's a language unto herself. the oldest living language, that of light and dark, and silence.

Seriously cool Arthur. We're fortunate. I remember much later on listening to "Dark Star" and being dumbfounded. Still far ahead of his time, so imaginative and creative. When he passed I felt a deep loss. He reminded me of my art, my love of it and the challenges of being an artist. Cheers to you.
