I totally agree!!! I always say that (non-Orthodox) American Jews made a mistake focusing more on celebrating Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur over Sukkot!

They are worn every week on Shabbat, on holidays (hence today), at weddings, and at some other special life cycle events.

They are actually far less delicate than they look. But they are kept in custom-made boxes that help keep the shape. They are also surprisingly lightweight for something so big.

They used to be like a few centimeters thick. They have grown very fast over the past few decades. They have almost doubled from when I wore them when I got married in 2010.

Watching the clips of Palestinians celebrating yesterday was a feeling we have been waiting for 2 years. For Palestinians in Gaza going to bed knowing that they can hope to wake up with all their loved ones alive.
