NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte making it clear that China is likely to pressure Russia into attacking Europe while China invades Taiwan #cdnpoli

249 years ago America removed itself from the yoke of kingdom. I cannot stress how important it is that they do it again.

The is literally nothing more American and patriotic than declaring: No Kings.

Agreed, and because it's been used as a political talking point against Farage by a party struggling with their own messages it risks getting lost in the noise. Brexit being a catastrophe for this country is a standalone fact.
abitpolitical.bsky.social
This probably won't payoff though, what would probably happen is WW3, with NATO engaging Russia in Eastern Europe and the US defending Taiwan.

If that is Trump wants to defend Taiwan.....

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte: “If China were to move against Taiwan, it's likely China would force its junior partner in that relationship, being Russia, under Vladimir Putin, to move against NATO to keep us busy.”

Jeremy Clarkson is one trans relative away from going "woke".

Like most thinking people I'm glad the government is bringing up Brexit as an anchor to growth and prosperity in the UK so it can hang it round the neck of Nigel Farage, but have they waited too long?

BREAKING: “There is no doubting that the impact of Brexit is severe and long lasting” says Chancellor Rachel Reeves

It’s about time!

Inconvenient truth. We just peace in Gaza to succeed, we just do. I don't care who gets the credit, we just want peace in the middle east.
abitpolitical.bsky.social
It's so so sad to see the lack of cooperation from what is left of the evil Hamas leadership in Gaza used as an excuse for Israel to collectively punish the civilians (a war crime), again. It's a fight between starving Gazans and mourning Israeli loved ones of dead hostages, and it just has to stop.
abitpolitical.bsky.social
A reminder that Nigel Farage is far from the only one who has been parroting Russian friendly talking points.
abitpolitical.bsky.social
This utterly undercuts the peace process and makes a mockery of the argument people have made since the start of the war - that the utter decimation of Gaza has happened in order to retrieve the hostages. Hamas can have no future in Palestine, but Gazans must be allowed to rebuild in peace.

BREAKING: Israel’s Defense Minister just tweeted that the country’s main goal, now that the hostages are returned, is to resume bombing Hamas tunnels in Gaza. #cdnpoli

There are lots of Americans out there criticising comedians for going to Saudi Arabia for giggles and a large bag of money, but imagine being a British comedian right now doing a tour of the US and having to wonder whether those anti-Trump jokes in Gravesend last month will get you denied entry.....

You know the celebration of Donald Trump in the Knesset is making us wait for his voice with baited breath?

We ARE doing that you know, he's made us do this?
abitpolitical.bsky.social
Donald Trump deserves the credit for the deal in Israel/Gaza today, he's still a weasely shitbag who has done this for himself and no one else, but he does deserve credit for what is happening today.

Those two things can be true, even if it is an incredibly inconvenient truth to admit to.

The Israeli people can begin to heal following this day. There are so many other things that can go wrong, but this is going right and it's great to see. 2/2

The release of the hostages is a momentous occasion. We've talked so much about how the genocide has demolished so much of Gaza, but this war has torn Israeli society apart, and at the core of that is the trauma of the capture of these people, these human beings captive, out of evil intent. 1/2

Sky News has made a very helpful list of 40 jobs that can be lost to AI based on the percentage of a job AI can do. The 10th one on the list is journalism.........

I know the obvious one is Reform following the Gill admission and Farage's links, but Labour was infiltrated a number of years ago, we have the son of a KGB agent sitting in the House of Lords, and STW has always aligned with the Russian line on Ukraine despite being famously against wars. 2/2

Sir Keir Starmer should open up an independent investigation led by senior British intelligence experts into Russian funding of political organisations, all of them. We are a frontline in a hybrid war with Russia and we are not doing enough to counter enemy actions on our territory. 1/2

I'm in a provocative mood this morning so I'm going to say something that might upset liberals. You know how Trump doesn't deserve a Nobel Peace Prize and only wants one because Obama got one? Well Obama didn't deserve one either IMHO.
abitpolitical.bsky.social
Instead they've made it mandatory, using the immigration debate as cover and replaced the idea of incentive with a forced obligation based on something that doesn't even make any sense.

They've taken a widely supported idea and made people hate it. It's the VAR of government policy. 2/2

You know what's wrong with the government's ID scheme? The same thing that's wrong most of the time. It's the Comms....again. They could have made it a voluntary thing that made things a whole lot easier for people by creating a one stop scheme, making government work better for us. 1/2

Prediction:

If the Gaza peace plan falls apart Trump will blame the Nobel committee.
abitpolitical.bsky.social
I've read what he put. Many years ago Donald Trump publicly shamed Jon Stewart for the same thing, exposing his Jewishness to his millions of followers on Twitter. The rest of it is just a distraction because they know Reform is up to its eyeballs in rubles.
abitpolitical.bsky.social
Well done Zack. I will say 2 things about the response from Tice. The first complaint he made was blatant anti-semitism straight out of the book of Trump (he did the same thing to Jon Stewart), and the second thing is that Zack is right to point out Farage's Russian links - especially now.
zackpolanski.bsky.social
Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.
