You ever remember that you have a presence to maintain for those that vaguely follow and remember you?

Yeah me neither.

Anyway, brief update is that I was in a bad spot, now I’m in a slightly better spot enough mentally to draw more again. Gonna try to do more of that.

I needed to use an interactive map to do it, but 100%ed silksong today.

The final fight is so exhilarating and skill expressive it's actually nuts, my heart is in my throat every time I do it.

I've been having MASSIVE artblock as of recent but I wanted to get this out while I had the fleeting motivation.

@vivisangry.bsky.social's content is AMAZING and they deserve a bigger following. Its all be very funny, and there is a certain joy in their voice that just puts a big smile on my face.

Didn’t see this when it would help, but stretches beforehand combined with breathing and controlled relaxation usually help me.

Ex. Take a deep breath, deliberately relax your toes/feet, and slowly work your way up your body with each breath.

Ambia is “mute” (they only speak in chimes), something that would very quickly be removed with a ‘universal translator’. Their code of ethics of mostly non-intervention and observation would be broken in almost any fan comic or media, for either heroics or edge.

They’d also probably be himboified.

it feels like most artists have something thing want to create -- stories they want to tell, or rich inner worlds. creativity. imagination.

but i lack every single one of those things. i just think drawing is fun

tbh it doesnt really bother me, but i wonder if anyone else is like this too?

I think the common art issue of “things not being how I want them to be/how I picture it in my head” is amplified to a degree when you’re drawing from an internal world you love and really want to do justice, because it’s one of the few ways you can bring it to life for others.

There is a lot that I want to make, but there is something freeing about the idea of simply doing it for the love of the craft.

Less pressure about making everything fit in, and it just being about the piece itself. What do you think, from the other side of that fence with your green grass and all.
