That being said, have you read the other side stories?

My recommendations:

Ambivalent Vision and Absolute Reason do tie in directly to one of the Act 2 main stories, and Esoteric Order is also quite a big lore drop for an Act 1 story

Do give those a read before moving to Act 2!
