7) i'm scared that i'm being abelist or mean for wanting more structure in social events for autistic people but the whole point of those is that we dont need to worry about these rules, but i *need* a bit of those rules because i panic when they aren't there.. ( 'T□T)

6) then there's the shame and panic from feeling irritated at the lack of rules. I feel guilty because i kind of wish more autistic people had social rules but that's not a good thing to think and i dont want to make them feel forced to socialize like i do.

5) If i do things with a specific structure i get scared that i'll stress out other autistic people who just want to be themselves without thinking of social rules but when i'm around neurotypicals i dont understand social rules enough to fully participate in a conversation either. I'm stuck

4) i already dont know when it's my time to speak when i'm around neurotypicals who socialize in a more specific way. If there isn't a specific time for me to talk i get to scared that i'll interrupt someone, cut them off or change the topic too quickly.

3) Like if i get interrupted i dont want to get mad at them because it doesnt come from rudeness its just how they talk, but it still makes me upset. I dont want to show it because i'm scared i'll hurt their feelings so i just stay hurt or confused for their comfort and i end up masking instead

2) and thats perfectly fine, its important to unmask and socialize in a way that feels right but i have no idea how to communicate when other's talk differently than i'm used to. There's a specific way i think and when others think really differently i just panic and freeze up :/

1) Like others stimming makes me overwhelmed or distracted and being around people who dont follow strict social norms make me confused because i have rules i follow in my mind since thats the "correct" way of socializing but around other autistic people they dont seem to follow the same rules i do
