We’re proud to be a part of National Manufacturing Day 2025 this Thursday – a nationwide celebration of what UK manufacturing has to offer and a chance to inspire the next generation of makers.
It's a chilly start to the week here in Derbyshire but bright and we're all ready to get to work. We also have an exciting event coming up this week, watch this space!
A big welcome to our new engineering apprentices: Finley, Dickson and Sam, working in several areas of the business - Paint/Powder-Coat, CNC and Assembly, they will develop skills in each area and rotate to the next.
We were delighted to host the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire, Andrew Cochrane DL, at Acres Engineering. His visit provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase not only our in-house capabilities but also the culture and people that make Acres what it is.
Project highlight: Ultra heavy-duty 10T trestles with retracting castors.
Each trestle is equipped with spring-loaded castors, and are fitted with oak sacrificial tops, which are bolted to the frame serving as a replaceable working surface.
