The teabag joke is actually true. My sister married into a clan, who use teabags at least twice.

We talk about CMF — colour, materials, and finish — of airline cabins a lot, and folks are often surprised at how high-tech something like a seat cover can be in order to meet requirements like flammability, smoke toxicity and heat release.

Finnair is canceling some flights and performing inspections on 8 of its A321s because the seat covers on those aircraft were cleaned using water. www.flightradar24.com/blog/aviatio...

Last year, I re-read A Christmas Carol. I was struck by the idea that Scrooge was in love with Marley. His grief for his lost love is the whole reason he’s as rotten as he is.

I will not be taking questions.

I once accidentally left a medical stool sample in a rental car glove box in summer and returned it. German tourists were kind enough to drop it in lost & found.

Removed the carpet square from the driver's side and the Prius now isn't quite a biological hazard. Does not seem to have seeped through to the cabin carpet.

Cambridge scientists have found a new way to grow human blood cells in the lab 🧫

A major step towards regenerative therapies, this could also help scientists with better understanding blood disorders like #leukaemia.

The vaulted undercroft at Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire. The abbey was originally established by Benedictine monks from St Mary's Abbey in York in 1132 and became one of the largest Cistercian houses in England. 📸 My own. #MedievalMonday #FountainsAbbey #Yorkshire

Read this BBC headline four times and cannot make sense of it. The English invented a language, mastered by other people.

It would seem appropriate for the largest Polynesian city in the world to have a culturally representative mayor. I have no idea where these 140,000 voters for Wayne Brown live, but I suspect it isn't on the peninsula.

A nice circumhorizontal arc (informally known as a fire rainbow, which is a misnomer) over West Virginia captured by Christa Harbig!

It is an optical phenomenon belonging to the family of ice halos, so it is neither fire nor a rainbow.

The image shows a circumhorizon arc (or circumhorizontal arc), an optical phenomenon resembling a fiery rainbow. It forms in a clear sky with cirrus clouds made of flat, hexagonal ice crystals aligned horizontally. These crystals refract sunlight, creating a colorful arc parallel to the horizon. Vibrant colors shine brightly against the blue sky, captured near North Fork Mountain, West Virginia.
