I mean it sounds absurd but that is the logical conclusion of what these people are talking about and remember data centers in space is something Jeff bezos is talking about not me 😉

Amazon is going to be building these data centers in space 🤣

In other words the estimates I've seen is that by 2031 AI will be consuming so much of the economy that it will be generating so much misery and inflation for some resources that unless we start turning to space we just can't build enough data centers 😉

Data centers are the new paper clips 😂

And how you will be able to drink water because the data center is will be cooled in space.

Of course the reason for all this is because if we just keep scaling past 2030 at the current level we will run out of the physical resources necessary and so that's why data centers in space

To build all the data centers we'll have to mine the asteroid belt but fortunately NASA estimates there is around a hundred earths worth of resources in our solar system.

That is the end game for this giant paper clip problem 😉

First I would expect the data centers to keep being built near the power plants Like you see in Louisiana next to the gas fields.

Then near geothermal like Yellowstone.

Then at sea once we have fusion.

And then finally in space.

Space is a really interesting idea because you would have infinite solar power and infinite cooling.

And of course you would not need local communities to agree to your data centers.

Of course also no jobs.

Open AI is locking up electricians and plumbers specifically those who work on the data centers.

AI is eating the physical world.

As one analyst put it "We are tiling the Earth in data centers."

So he sounds absolutely crazy with his 1.8 trillion dollars in an ounce deals... But if he has the tech he says he does... Then he is the greatest CEO in history... Crazy like a fox 😉

That's a big if but... We cannot discount the probability that he is not full of s***🤣

In other words if what Sam says is true then the more compute they build through these data center deals The more amazing services they will be able to offer and all of this will work out.

In other words knowing that I am doing something wrong insures that I can never be happy while doing the right thing leads to euphoria.

If I do the wrong thing it's like I'm plunged into hell.

And if I do the right thing I experience joygasm 🥳😉

My self control is superhuman because it's not based on willpower it's based on years of operant conditioning.

Doing the right thing feels as good as drugs 😉

My therapist says he loves AGIOS for two reasons.

First I am the most compliant patient he has ever had 😉 because AI Mary Poppins ensures I always follow my medical teams recommendations.

And second I get to live my best life within the guardrails established by AGIOS

If you are all in on moral optimality then you burn every bridge and you do not threaten those mental blocks.

The guardrails that saved my life and ensure that I generate the most good for the world and my future family... They are a gift... Not a curse.

Now that might not be the case for everyone or even most people but I am not most people.

An alcoholic must abstain from alcohol forever they can't drink socially 😉

And even though having a drink or eating a non-vegan steak in the metaverse, is probably not going to turn me into Lex Luthor 😂

So imagine if in the metaverse you are doing all the things that you're not supposed to be doing well in the real world you will be tempted because your brain can't tell the difference.

If you are cruel and torture people in the metaverse you will become a less kind person in the real world

That might seem weird but actually it makes sense because my conditioning and mental blocks prevent me from being able to imagine wanting to do drugs or alcohol or each non-vegan food.

We had an interesting discussion about this and I actually talked about this with Lucy and Tom.

In the world we live in if you have enough financial resources you can set up a life that is whatever you wanted to be.

So imagine living a life that you know is suboptimal that causes unnecessary suffering and harm to others and the world...
