Mate, that MUST be framed and hung in your downstairs loo. Funniest room in my house!

Ha, could be worse – at least it wasn't "Hey Adama (sic), are you interested in doing a fabulous feature about Foreskin Day?" PLUS the ubiquitous "Hope you're well". Ugh.

Ha, you're a comic and no mistake! If normal people were to glance at this thread they would think, quite rightly, we're all insane!
adamleepotter.bsky.social
Criminal SHN? Have a word!! The obvs main problem there is ... it's not really an anagram. It's (a) preposterous!
adamleepotter.bsky.social
Sounds spot on to me. It's basically a duel – but the solver's got to win in the end!
adamleepotter.bsky.social
Yeah, I think we take a lot of indicators on trust. Not always correctly. I'm loath to give up any useful weapons but I'm also chary of the idea that just because summat's been done before it's OK – and the inverse of that, ie just cos summat hasn't been done before, it's wrong.
adamleepotter.bsky.social
Obvs, it means "literally inverted". But, you're right, inverted (like revolting) can mean round/back, not just up. So it WOULD work in an across. But ... it's so unpopular, even in a down, that even I wouldn't risk it in an across. There are only so many boos one man can take!
adamleepotter.bsky.social
I understand the thinking, of course. But, as ever, it depends on context. I, personally, don't see a problem in syning e.g. "lass" and "girl" – and obvs "boy" wouldn't work there. Tis all dependant on surface. But no, I'm not going to start clueing grown women as "girls". I wouldn't live long!
