I haven't seen this reported by the mainstream media at all, but the Glazers have been eyeing up a new stadium and redevelopment of the surrounding lands since 2018. If anyone thinks this is Ineos' idea, it looks like they need to dig a little deeper.

And if we’re talking full sale, the numbers don’t make a lot of sense especially with the debt. Someone would have to pay £5.5-6b just to buy the club, pay another £800m to get rid of the debt and then they’d still need to cough over more for a new stadium or OT renovation. Who’s willing to do that?

That’s never going to happen though, is it? The debt is now on the club and not the Glazers. How’s that even legal is beyond me, but that’s how big business deals can work apparently. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think the sad fact is we may need rich owners now. There’s plenty of whispers OT is too far gone for renovation and we’re carrying a massive load of debt. Billions may be needed. Sad state of affairs.

I would like way less turmoil at United, thank you very much. I often wonder what it’s like supporting other clubs that don’t have 2-3 breaking news stories every fucking day of the week. It must be bliss.

Not that I have a choice, but I don’t think I can go through this all over again. I was way too emotionally invested the last time around only to get utterly crushed. This doesn’t make sense to me at this point, talk of sale takes any pressure off them once again. Rats are going to rat.

Are they though? The Glazers are fervent supporters of the Trump regime. Does it get much worse than that at this point in time? Not saying I want state ownership but our owners are involved with plenty of shady people already.
