Stats Canada updated their data tables today & I crunched the numbers.

US Tourism is getting hammered by Canadians boycotting travel to the US.

Domestic tourism is booming & international travel to non-US countries is up.

We are still travelling, just not to the US.

September 2024 vs 2025

Air Travel
All Int'l: down 7.0% (1.443M to 1.341M)

Split:
US only: down 27.1% (510K to 372K)
Others: UP 3.9% (933K to 969K)

Vehicle Travel
Down 35.5% (2.055M to 1.326M)

Can you say OUCH to US Tourism? Yup.

Air Travel:
All Int'l: down 4.1% (1.693M to 1.623M)

Split:
US Only: down 25.4% (567K to 423K)
Others: UP 6.6% (1.126M to 1.200M)

So 144K less people went to the US & 74K more people went elsewhere. Domestic travel is booming as well.

Trump would say he is a peace maker. He always talks about ending wars (mostly BS, but it's "what he stands for")

If they're going to give awards for what people say they stand for, there's a double standard when they gave it to Obama. Big mistake.

The biggest problem is that they gave it to Obama when he'd only been in power for 5 minutes. That was a mistake. Now Trump is correct to think there are double standards.

Even if the Middle East peace process is a massive success, he'd not have got the prize this year, but he almost certainly will next year.

I hope he does win next year, as that will have meant thousands of people have been spared an early death at the hands of the IDF.

The Heart could be seen as an endorsement, but not a Follow.

I think there's a time when the Heart seems inappropriate. Like "10k dead in Gaza". I want to show appreciation that someone is sharing, but a Heart?
