Studio Ghibli fell in love with this film and gave its director a movie deal. Master animators like Yuri Norstein call it a favorite.

Its name is Father and Daughter, and we've explored its story:

Rabbit Trap is a slow, atmospheric dark fairy tale that leans into beauty, warmth, and uncanny folklore over traditional scares. @leahschnelbach.bsky.social reviews Bryn Chainey's writer/director debut:

Silly drawing from a moment in our game last night. It's my character (the one standing -- a triton bard) and our water genasi rogue putting on an act to get the Sultan's attention. The bubbles are supposed to represent them babbling in Aquan.
Black and white drawing of two women dressed in fancy dresses: a water genasi on the ground play-acting that her ankle hurts in a very over-the-top manner, and her friend (a triton) clutching her pearls and pointing at the genasi's foot, adding to the acted drama. A tall, muscular hobgoblin guard looks at the scene with confusion and stress.

But I get it; for people who need to promote their work for a living they have to be where they’ll get the most traffic :/

Personally I quit IG in November and don’t intend to go back. Also I finally quit FB about a month ago (after years of having it but not really using it). I prefer to have no part in anything Meta owns.

"I think you need to behave in a way that is not destructive to others, and is not destructive to you, you know? Because what you hate in others, inevitably, is a thing that you hate in you. Inevitably. There’s no such thing as hatred that doesn’t start with self. There is not such a thing, period."
Death is the Curator: An Interview with Guillermo del Toro
Guillermo del Toro is perhaps best known as a builder of worlds—his films grow from the sketchbooks that he fills with ideas for fantastical creatures and places.
