It's important to have a principled understanding of fascism, and a lot of our problems stem from nearly nobody having that, but one of the reasons this specific topic is so frustrating is that you don't even need that. Standard-issue liberal programming, problematic as it is, is fine here

A handy little single-item guide for people who are terrible at politics you can use to easily avoid such problems:

"What's your big problem with the Nazi stuff?" is literally always wrong, and if you ever find yourself there, shut the fuck up, and reflect a whole lot on whatever led you there
