Starting CNC inlays for live edge picture frames I'm making as Christmas gifts. Full reveal later! My machine is a Snapmaker 150... Great machine but it has somewhat limited CNC working area, so I need to be creative when clamping large pieces.
Like Trump, they are used to getting their own way, crave attention and don't like being told what to do. The first firing/resignation from his cabinet will happen within a few weeks of taking office. This will be a dysfunctional cabinet that, hopefully, will have a hard time getting anything done.
This article is both fascinating and terrifying. I do take some comfort in the fact that the people Trump is selecting for his cabinet are generally not known for being team players.

I'm here from @carletonu.bsky.social too! I just joined and I'm in the process of moving my old posts from Twitter/X to here. I hadn't posted on Twitter since 2023 given the toxicity over there. So far, @bsky.app is a breath of fresh air.
Spotted this passing through the @Carleton_U LRT station yesterday. Great to see trains rolling again on Line 2, even if only for testing. @OC_Transpo
Spotted this very cute racoon family on @Carleton_U campus out for a walk this morning.
Spotted just now from the Athletics parking lot at @Carleton_U @BlacksWeather 🌈
@JoelLightbound I hope you'll be calling the CEO of @Rogers to testify before the House Standing Committee on Industry and Technology ASAP to explain their colossal failure to provide reliable essential communication services to Canadians. The Shaw merger looks even worse now.
Front row seat - congratulations Classes of 2020 and 2021!
First in person convocation I've attended since Fall 2019 today! Very excited to be congratulating students from classes of 2020 and 2021 in person! @CU_MechAero @CarletonEngDesg
@BlueLineTaxiOtt So close, only partially blocking the crosswalk, but your driver did manage to fully block the bike path. I guess they'll go for both next time? @CCN_NCC @OttawaBylaw
Happy World Book Day 2022! Here's what I'm reading right now. #WorldBookDay2022
Not to brag too much - but I really do have an amazing group of graduate students and researchers working with me at @CU_MechAero. One of my students, who will defend soon, just dropped this off. Nothing is possible without such hard-working and thoughtful students!
Lots of wildlife at Carleton these days... Spotted this pair of mallards hanging out at the entrance to Athletics. Clearly waiting for the pool to open for their lane swim time slot. @CURavens @Carleton_U
Just spotted this fox with a goose @Carleton_U. Quite the catch! 🦊
UTIAS, UVIC, Sherbrooke and others have very large fleets too. These tools are a very common part of any science or engineering program.
Great to see this very important work happening at UPEI! But...I'm pretty sure they don't have the largest drone fleet of any Canadian university. 😊 Just my group at Carleton has 14 drones. Other colleagues have more drones on our campus. ...
New submarines. Close air support fixed wing aircraft. Armed recon helicopters. Another polar class icebreaker added to the planned two. Mobile air defence systems. Maybe even new amphibious assault LHD capabilities like Australia. @financialpost @AnitaAnandMP
We have to put the true numbers in perspective and look at what we do with the money, not just the relative amounts. Any increases need to be targeted and specific. Better recruiting to build a more diverse @CanadianForces. Higher salaries and retention allowances.
