Probably smart to rest Calafiori, off the top of my head this feels like his longest run of fitness for us so let’s keep it that way.

Glad to see Martinelli in, Trossard obviously scored at the weekend but wasn’t at his best.

No real surprise Max Dowman hasn't been named in the England u17 squad for the World Cup, given his recent u19 promotion.

Jack Porter is in the squad though, with the tournament to take place between November 3rd and 27th. England face Venezuela, Haiti, & Egypt in the group #AFC

Saka was fantastic, even when we had bad spells in the game.

Will never forget the absolute losers trying to tell us his career was over after his injury. Frothing at the mouth hoping he wouldn’t bounce back like he has.

I feel like we played a lot of slick football in that half, particularly at the start, but a lot of the moves ended with a sloppy pass or the wrong decision.

Conceded too many chances for the dominance of possession too. Happy enough, but we can still step it up again.

Ødegaard back starting is great, assume it’s Martinelli on the right to take some pressure off Saka recently back from injury.

Seems Dowman is in the squad too despite not being on this graphic. He was on the pre-match walk, so makes sense.

Can’t see why anyone would complain about how Merino was used today.

Came on for a defender to provide an extra body in forward areas to attack crosses, with Newcastle sitting deep. That’s a very attacking change.
