An exciting panel discussion with Umar Muhammad Kundi, Prof Zoueu, @globalbioimaging.bsky.social, Latin America Bioimaging, and @france-bioimaging.bsky.social highlighted the importance of story telling, scientific excellence & community for infrastructure advocacy #ABIC_CM2024
Precious Kgomo gave an update on our African Microscopy Infrastructure and Expertise survey, the interesting insights learned from the data, and challenges faced through the process #ABIC_CM2024
We heard from @caronjacobs.bsky.social about microscope access opportunities and infrastructure building efforts through @AMI_microscopy and OpenScopes Africa #ABIC_CM2024
What a day! The 2nd day of #ABIC_CM2024 flew past! Some highlights include presentations and discussions around microscopy infrastructure, access and advocacy in Africa, and interactive discussions about building visions for the microscopy community & research in Africa.
Umar Muhammad Kundi from BioRTC in Nigeria was the last talk of the afternoon session, talking about the importance of infrastructure and training for building research capacity in Africa. He shared the great access and training opportunities available through BioRTC #ABIC_CM2024
Followed by Sunday Olatunji shared about the awesome partnership with the Widening the Lens course run by Bryan Millis at Vanderbilt University! #ABIC_CM2024
