Definitely not just a pit of sludge, rather a nurgling jacuzzi #nurgle

"baggage train" for my nurgle daemons is shown foreground, nurglings, great unclean one and other daemons in the background. The "baggage train" is actually just a pit of sludge with the skulls, chains, and two cheeky little familiars dancing around it (one is a little cauldron with legs and the other is a sahagin type fellow playing a bone trumpet). The base and pit are black cracked earth and there is lots of green sludge.

Cathay Jade Warriors with sword and shield, about a 45° angle shot. My interpretation of box art, with as many shortcuts as possible. Bases are desert/sandy with some river/oasis/sea. Pretty flowers here and there.

You can actually see the unit filler this time, it is a weapon rack with swords and shields, and some tea and an abacus hanging out too. Finally managed to make some progress on the Cathay. 15 sword and board Jade warriors done, 5*1 cheeky unit filler made. Pleased with my approach to box-ish art them, confident I can knock out an army with this scheme. #warhammer #theoldword #grandcathay

15 jade warriors for Grand Cathay with box-ish art - Jade-ish green helmet plumes and sashes and shield backgrounds, red spot colour on the shields, mostly browns and iron for the rest of them. Bases are sand, water and yellow flowers.

A thrown together 5*1 unit filler for the Jade Warriors. Two cavalry bases and a normie based squashed and glued together, an abacus, tea and bao set, and a "weapon rack" with swords and shields leaning against it. (The weapon rack is actually rando bits from I think the balloon kit? I can't remember.)

Skaven Vs Empire #OldWorld #Warhammer #battlereport Three caches of enriched warpstone were buried here aeons ago, discovered and defended by an Averland force. My Grey Seer and his canny rats destroyed much of the defenders ... but could not acquire the Warpstone! Was a 10-10 draw!

On the right, my Grey Seer riding a Screaming Bell being pulled along by clanrats, with an warlock engineer and a poisoned wind globadier. On the left 40 plague monks pulling along a plague furnace with a plague priest riding it. Gloomy forests and abandoned houses litter the battlefield with the Averland Empire force just visible in the distance.

The Averland defenders (state troops, wizard lord, handgunners, greatswords, engineer and hell blaster volleygun) ready themselves for the onslaught of the plague monks and their monstrosity of a plague furnace. The plague horde would prove too much for the defenders in a fight, but they wisely changed tactics to avoid the horde and grab the warpstone cache's to escape

The steam tank on the right just acquired a Warpstone cache. The Hellpit abomination is weary of it, having just torn apart and eaten some empire knights, griff knights and a grandmaster. The steam cannon is aimed at the flagging warp lightning cannon, about to destroy it... Towards the top the Grey Seer wields their warp-condensed magic to slay more knights with warp lightning. The war wagon tries it's luck against the plague horde, flees but survives and makes off with a cache!

Royal Clan Vs Vampire Counts (Nighthaunts) great as always! It was slowly going the Vamps way until his general charged mine. He didn't kill her in the challenge and she monster slay'd his pretty teeth! His army started crumbling after that... Ancient grudge settled! #batrep #warhammer #theoldworld

The armies face off - 2k of Vampire counts (Nighthaunts) and 2k of Dwarves Royal Clan. Round to square base adapters are a life saver and allow AoS armies to be played in The Old World! Already I was being a bit outplayed here, he saw I put a brick of dwarves over the far side and he just....deployed all his stuff away from them! Tactics!

What an absolute car park! Hammers with my general in the middle, absolute brick of my warriors with battle standard bearer on the left, his zombies centre with a banshee behind, necroamncer on Mortis engine (lady Olynder) to the right, grave guard with his battle standard bearer to the right too, his general (vamp on abyssal terror) just charged in. He challenged my general, failed to kill her and she turned around and..... slayed him 😬 clue is in the name with her being a slayer tho!

My victorious general after she slayed the enemy warlord and caused his whole army to crumble

Had a competitive style #40k game with a friend, I brought Creations of Bile and he brought Reaper's Wager. Setting up GW scenery layout was a pain but Drukhari love pain I hear. Game was amazing, he out-scored me but I felt I had the tools to win too. His models so pretty... #batrep #warhammer

He won first turn roll-off, this is after the movement phase. To my surprise at the time he just came straight at me with a whole bunch of threats - the bullet that is a Solitaire, his scouted raider with his warlord archon, court and kabs, grotesques up the other flank, Talos and ravager up the middle too. But cleverly he kept plenty back for followups including incubi with archon in venom, Lilith with Wyches in venom. Picky-upy-putty-downy on his mandrakes and the move-shoot-move on his Scourges allowed him to have such mobility and point scoring capability too.

Deployment finished. This PoV from the Drukhari and Harlequin side. Look at his model's bases! Their theme is "rave" and I love all the bright colours they all have.

This is around turn 3 now, although I eventually destroyed almost all his units by the end of the game, at this point I hadn't done enough to disrupt him and score points myself! Those Talos were alive killing my stuff in the middle for far too long, carpark of raider(s) and ravager doing such good work too.

Tried one of the brand new #oldworld scenarios "Upon Shrouded Shores" with objective markers(!). 2.5k High Elves invading the Bretonnian Outcast lands - Victory to the Elves but a thrilling back and forth game. That outcast red wizard just dominated magic against two Arch Mages! #batrep #warhammer

Two forces line up against each other - High Elves Vs the Bretonnian Outcasts. The mat and terrain is a beach with some objectives also placed.

Some archers, ellyrion reavers and swordmasters face off against pegasus knights and a Baron... The swordmasters cut down the other unit of pegasus knights (out of shot) but the archers and reavers were easily cut down by the remainder and the baron.

The end of the game - the Caledorian Arch Mage blasted into the Baron and his retinue, with the Lion Noble on lion chariot joined to support. The outcast red wizard in the background takes stock of the battle and readies to leave, having already proved his prowess melting and burning many many elves!
