Do you ever DNF books for extremely petty reasons? I read 30 pages of a book today. The author doesn't know the difference between an EMT and a paramedic and doesn't understand what either of them do. Is that too petty of a reason to chuck a book into the donate box? I'm annoyed.

If I had to choose a favorite genre, I'd pick historical fiction. There are so many interesting stories an author can tell. I learn something new every time I read a historical book.

Between 1950 and 2018, 95% of traditionally published books were written by white people. I'm not sure if publishing has gotten more diverse since this study was done, but I suspect not. Let's encourage change:
