This was in Gamemaker (2D only). For a continuous 360* effect, the BG image had to connect together PLUS look 3D at every angle PLUS be able to have clickable objects in the correct place, w/o a 3D engine. The 360* explorable rooms was actually a significant technical and artistic challenge

Hired a very talented BG artist! They drew the backgrounds with a reverse fisheye effect (insane) so that when the fisheye effect was applied in the game, the background would look 3D
