There's probably more to my thought process and stuff, but this is just me doing a quick explanation. (And posting the drawing before I lose the nerve to, because I'm really bad about sharing my art and get nervous doing so.)

I chose the Great Tree in Lindon and the Two Trees of Valinor, because of the parallels there, too. The rings were created to save the Great Tree/the Elves. The Silmarils contain the light of the Two Trees (and Tolkien wrote about how there would be a sort of end battle, where they would be used

The bottom crest is half of Feanor's crest. Then I had to find something similar for the top. I decided to go with Gil-galad's crest, as it made sense to me, since everything we're seeing in Rings of Power is during his reign as High King.

After I had those, I had to decide on the rest.

So, originally, it started as drawing mostly things like Feanor's hammer, the rings, the crests I used in the background. Then it came to be the picture it is. (I started with just the designs, because I like doing designs.)

Okay, first RoP/Tolkien art piece I've done. I wanted to kind of draw something with the 3 Elven Rings and the Silmarils, because of the parallels they draw, especially in the show.

Working on a new piece of art. Going back and forth with whether I like how it’s turning out or not (though I’m certain my friends will tell me it’s good). But I’m holding judgement until I finish it.

Also, figure I’ll make this my sort of art bluesky account. And the more fandom oriented one. :)

Well, she isn’t really me at to be scary. The high priestess tarot card represents things like an intuitive, unconscious inner voice. So it’s more of a positive one lol

First actual post since this account t is mostly for my fanart/art/etc. I just finished this piece last night, and am very happy with it. My FFXIV character as The High Priestess tarot card. Probably going to do more at some point.
