Ridiculous as I’m sure you know.
Sometimes you have to wonder…….

Well done.
I’m actually having the night off !
Very early start tomorrow and it’s going to be too dark to dismantle the traps at that hour. Definitely getting FOMO vibes though.

Nice. Yellow-line not shown up yet here this year yet, but there’s still time.

Settle down now won’t you. Can’t take your picture while you’re doing that.

That’s good. Still waiting this year. I was hoping to pick one up when I visited South Hants this week but turned out my trap site was in a BW.
Must be following me. ☹️

Milder night with lots of rustic and sallow species. 👍

Thanks to all but the identifying features that made you sure is what I was really hoping for.

Bransgore. South Hants.
Freshly marked Sallow and Green-brindled Crescent the trap highlights.
Disappointing three nights with only 38 moths trapped, though it was a bit chilly. Home again now.
Cirrhia icteritia.
The Sallow. Allophyes oxyacanthae.
Green-brindled Crescent.

something to think about for the future but have you thought of using a plug in timer? When you set the trap you check all is connected before introducing the timer into the circuit. You can then forget about it and go out for the evening. Set to switch off at dawn for a cool bulb for dismantling.

Anything other than a leaf mine.
Not expecting anything too significant. I’ll save that for the 1000th. 😂😂😂

I put this Carpet down as Spuce Carpet but the AI doesn’t agree on this particular image. Your assistance with identifying features would be most welcome #TeamMoth

As all I need to do is hook up the electrics I will naturally have my trap out tonight. I looked up my records and I believe I trapped 26 nights last October. I’m sure I can improve on that record and I’m still waiting for No 700.

Hopefully tonight will be warmer and less humid ?

You two will go to any lengths for a moth tick ! Hopefully it will attract more than one tiny weeny obscure nondescript micro species which is an agricultural pest across the pond.
