After an experience at 4 years old being chased by a turkey (while funny is retrospect, that's one of the 3 or 4 vivid memories of that time of my life), makes me just not feel bad about eating turkeys. They'd chase and peck me to death if they could.

CPD is really known for "protecting" its turf. Feds coming in here and bossing CPD is like another gang coming into their territory. CPD is a lot of things, but "protective" of its turf is its central function. I don't see them being real friendly or helpful towards any feds.

4. Those folks are thinking about Europe, that has far right populists in the wings trying to get elected. They might be escaping into the same thing, and being an immigrant at that.
