In 'Mission of the Darians', The Alphans discover a ship the size of a city in space which the population was set off to be an ark to escape a dying planet seems to have experienced a divide in their culture into the haves and have-nots.

Matte paintings are used to create an enormous size of the ark.

Some of the Darians live in Olympian like luxury awaiting arrival at their destination...

And others live in a more dark-age society where the chief priest played by Aubrey Morris chooses who lives and who dies...

Thank you. I don't want to seem like I'm trying to hijack the hashtag, but it's just that I happened to start a rewatch (first in decades) & I know there are a lot of us out there who literally grew up on ST and then S'99. It's for this month only & I promise that I won't do a Buck Rogers crossover!

It was a bit like 'King of the Hill' or even 'Leave It to Beaver' with interesting interactions w/ neighbors and kids learning as they grew up with that moral of the story, but nothing so risqué as Family Guy as I recall it was a bit of a family show and in the seventies at that.
