Who cares. CBS is a FOX clone now. I’ve written them off as a credible information source. Sad because I worked there from 1988 to 2007 when White Book standards mattered, and the willful and even mistaken violation of those standards got even powerful people fired.

The citizenship clause reads as follows: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” This language is both broad and unequivocal. It was designed to eliminate any ambiguity or uncertainty about the status of American citizenship, for both the formerly enslaved people living in the South and for untold generations to come.

Weird post. We know Republicans don’t want safety net programs, we know Democrats do. But Trump’s post asserts as fact a lie. Isn’t that the more important takeaway here? Trump and Republicans lie to voters to cut a program that has protected millions of people from physical and financial ruin.
