They’re probably the most corrupt, powerful, self-serving, land hoarding, and insidious family in the UK, although the press pulls overtime to make you think otherwise. The late Queen was pulling far more strings than most people think. But you’re right, there isn’t widespread republican support.

You can be better than someone else born into wealth and connections, sure. But there should be an underlying acknowledgement of your privilege, and I’m not going to applaud someone who can always give more and still be better off than most.
