We cannot say this enough: giving in to Russian demands to let them keep illegally obtained sovereign Ukrainian land, including Crimea, will not ensure lasting peace!

FYI: what is now called Israel and Palestine for thousands of years was called Palestine, but both Arab & Jewish people coexisted with each other there before “land conquests” became a thing countries started doing.

For peace on that piece of land to be possible both cultures need to put water..

Israel has every right to exist (as has been already agreed by the UN members in 1967), and that “greater Israel” is a disgusting abomination of an idea and any suggestion of it should be immediately stopped/reprimanded.

We are living in a world where there are people who call themselves “Christians” who think this is perfectly okay to do with a child, but a drag queen reading a children’s book you can find in a public library to a child is a sin.

So personally I do think it’s good that some winners are this controversial because it does create debate, people do start talking with each other about these fundamental things governing our lives, if we want to or not.

Now, time will tell how this one will play out, hope of course for the best!

As soon as l've heard to whom the Nobel Prize for Peace went, my faith in humanity went from 1 to O because I can't understand such choice and can only witness a twisted logic to influence the political landscape.
She's a supporter of Donald TRUMP, an established right-wing extremist herself who wants to privatize everything and hand over valuable resources such as water and crude oil to private corporations.
She also supported the genocide in Gaza by Israel military forces and invading settlers to the point of asking Benjamin Netanyahu to come
"liberate" Venezuela with bombs.
On top of that she promised to re-open Venezuela's embassy in Jerusalem, proving that she's willing to work with people who bomb hospitals while calling it "self-defense" and deny access to basic life-sustaining supplies to the population of Gaza.
She's nothing else but a vile combination of fascism, Zionism and neoliberalism eager to dispose of anyone's life and negociate the sovereignty of her country if that allows her to achieve her goals.

The nobel committee isn't neutral or impartial when selecting the peace prize. It's actions in effect are aligned with Norwegian foreign policy, which is a NATO member.

..for their society it would be best for them to take back control of their democratic institutions through a revolution from within, than to hand (parts of) their sovereignty afterwards to the US, because that’s what’s going to happen if the US kills Maduro or stages a successful coup.

My prediction: if the US succeeds in getting rid of Maduro, by the time the Venezuelan people get back control of their government they would have lost control of their oil & critical mineral rights. They will then regret for a long time entrusting people who say their own interests matter more..

Kath definitely brings valid points why saying I am antifascism is better than saying I am antifa, however, for the same reason why it’s important to embrace and voice your “wokeness”, I do think it is important to show fascist-(wannabes) that their gaslighting does not work.

I think this is similar to my argument about not posting shit that'll get you in trouble. People want to put up a fight about semantics and words and are willing to face persecution over that when it's a lot more useful to do what you need to do to actually do the actions associated with those words
