I wonder if Peter and Ben would actually like Rent? They too struggle with rent and keep sabotaging their lives, but they do it for the greater good of being heroes while the Rent characters do it for their crappy home movie documentaries. 😅
“Robin is a symbol just as much as Batman is. It isn’t just a symbol of the law, it’s a symbol of justice. And Batman needs a Robin.”

Dam been writing a book about this and she just TikToked it in 90 seconds.
Thinking back to high school, I relate so much to Deathdream here.
Why yes @gailsimone.bsky.social to answer your question from a few days ago, Deathdream IS a precious lil bean who wants pudding.
Cuz he’s a snazzy dresser?

ICYMI 📚 @dianedarcy.bsky.social digs into why #DCComics doesn’t really have a continuity problem — it has a canon fixing problem. From Crisis on Infinite Earths to today’s New History of the DC Universe, here’s why constant retcons keep breaking DC’s heroes:
DC doesn’t have a continuity problem — it has a ‘fixing canon’ problem
'New History of the DC Universe' is proving divisive among fans, but not without reason.

This show did deserve a second season. But it needs to be an ensemble piece and not just Wolverine and his underutilized friends.
That’s the thing: it’s not a bad show. They do great stuff with Emma Frost Cyclops does have a good story arch, and they use time travel in a fun way. Ironically the biggest problem with the entire show is the title character. If only they didn’t worship constantly at the alter of Wolverine…
Wolverine being able to piece together exactly what happened in a crime scene just by smell to where images of the events play out for him is some kooky procedural drama BS from the early 2000’s stuff. #WolverineandtheXMen
I swear this show cannot go 2 minutes without them mentioning his holy one, Wolverine. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again when it’s comes to #WolverineandtheXMen:
Ugh… I hate how in “Breakdown” they paint Wolverine to be the “good guys” cuz he refuses to fight Cyclops, but then show Scott to be the violent, possessive & toxic boyfriend. Again this show goes out of its way to make Logan into a saint at the cost of other characters.
And the fact at the climax they had WOLVERINE go in to try and talk to Warren rather than Storm really annoys me because if this was the only plot the gave her then this should have been her moment. But instead it was once again the “Wolverine only” show. 😫
Weird relationship that Wolverine and the X-Men hinted at was Angel & Storm. I get that show really sidelined Storm to where she was largely a background character but after her intro episode, her only subplot was implying she & Angel were maybe a thing. And they had zero chemistry.
Keep in mind as I said before this is a stereotype. But again it was the 90’s & they heavily used these cliches to imply queerness, since they would not be allowed to openly show it.

Maggie Sawyer as a lesbian for example was given the “butch woman” approach with having short hair and a deep voice.
I know this is an outdated stereotype, but since Superman the Animated Series was created in the 90’s was John Henry Irons supposed to be gay coded?

I only ask because they animated him with his earring in the right ear, which back in the 90’s was seen as an indication of being gay.
I love Maggie Sawyer in the Superman the Animated Series, particularly as the first openly gay character in the DCAU.

But that being said, madam you are a police officer. Put on some pants. Bare legs does not seem wise in your line of work.
I’m re-watching the Batman/Superman: World’s Finest DCAU movie, and did not realize as a kid how many people joker probably killed by using the LexWing to bomb Metropolis. Even though Batman and Superman stopped the attack, thousands of people were probably injured or killed.
So that rando on my TikTok who got pissed that other characters dared to have white streaks of hair, quickly descended into a fascinatingly weird martyr complex about how Rogue is allegedly mistreated & started actively attacking other characters & their fans who get favoritism?
