Not as many as the New Zealanders but Wigan has had some Aussie Internationals in its ranks.

Do we prefer NZ or Aussies?

To have a prime Aussie playing for Wigan would be the pinnacle for that player.

As a kid I remember watching GB v Australia at Wembley. Edwards got sent off. I was 9.

Didn’t see the Aussies again until Morley got sent off at Wigan.

Saturday will be a memory for the next generation at Wembley!

But we shouldn’t forget the past encounters…

RIP Trevor Barton MBE

The Leigh Miners Rangers chairman, club stalwart. Did so much for the community as a volunteer, in charity and in his successful career in the Police.

A big loss to Rugby League and from the Girls teams and families, thank you Trev!
