Presumably because Trump is most interested in making money on Ukraine & he is used to work with Witkoff in shady New York real estate deals.

Why are 3 Trump factions pursuing competing talks with Russia & Ukraine?
In the end, Putin will say no if Ukraine does not capitulate, & it will not, while Trump will not do anything against Putin, his favorite.
This is a waste of time.
Europe needs to finance & arm Ukraine!

9. European & Ukrainian leaders have protested, but hardly enough.
Europe needs to stand up for Ukraine: take over all financing, deliver all the arms Ukraine needs & ignore not very helpful Trump.
Zelensky should not allow Trump to insult him again!
Don't go to the US!

8. Trump insisted on Zelensky accepting this Kremlin proposal by November 27. Otherwise he would stop even intelligence to Ukraine. Trump posed no conditions on Russia, once again behaving like a Russian asset. Again, Trump complained about Zelensky not being grateful for the aid he did not give.

7. Now Trump has accepted as his a "peace" proposal hatched in the Kremlin. Its two main points are:
A. Ukraine's actual capitulation to Russia;
B. US seizure of $300bn of Russian frozen state assets, mainly in Europe.

6. Repeatedly, Trump has restricted how Ukraine is allowed to use its US arms, mostly not allowing Ukraine to attack Russia proper. The US has also restricted how Ukraine is allowed to use arms given by European countries that contain US technology.

5. Trump has accepted highly restricted sales of arms to Ukraine financed entirely by other NATO countries. The total amount appears to be abouty $2 bn, while Ukraine's defense costs about $100bn a year, $60 bn from the Ukrainian budget, the rest foreign assistance.

Fortunately, he failed. The Ukrainian negotiators did a great job & they were helped by Treasury Secretary Bessent.
4. Trump/Hegseth even stopped the delivery of intelligence to Ukraine in early March & now Trump threatens to do so again.

The correct number (Kiel Ukraine aid tracker) is $130bn, while Europe h.as given $200bn & now financing Ukraine entirely on its own. Trump should stop lying!
3. The original purpose of Trump's proposal of a "mineral agreement" with Ukraine was to get $350bn!
h.as

Trump has no right to pose any demands on Ukraine:
1. He instantly stopped ALL financial and arms aid to Ukraine. US republicans continue to lie that the US is financing Ukraine & giving it arms. Stop lying!
2. Trump has repeatedly lied that the US has given $350 bn to Ukraine.

Do Americans really want a president who always obeys the Russian dictator?
