Looks to be a creation of the brilliant Holly Pereira…she’s got such a distinctive style.
I’ve not been down in Dingle for ages, but am looking forward to getting back there in the next few weeks.

Here’s one from Chapel Lane, with the tower of St. Mary’s peeking over the rooftops.

We were treated to the musical highs of The Next New Low’s latest release, the Unreachable, in Walsh’s last night.

Brian was accompanied by the brilliant Daniel Luke & Lizzie Murtough…what a gorgeous evening in the parish.

Off to hear him now in Walsh’s.
Or ‘Work’ perhaps…you should’ve signed 1,100!!!

That’s one of my very favourite albums.
Somewhere out there in the gloom behind the Baily lighthouse, was a rising lunar eclipse. Unfortunately this was the only light I could see.

The rising moon is a fickle muse…

Ah, my mistake. It’s a long time since I read it, but I remember Bob Dylan’s book Tarantula (1971) being like that. A very unusual book…more like a stream of consciousness.
‘Little shoes, never worn’ comes to mind…often attributed to Ernest Hemmingway, but appeared in publications as far back as the late 1800s.
A short video, showing the transition from James Malton’s view looking north from Sackville St. towards the Rotunda and Parnell Square in 1795 and the same scene today

There’s actually two birds in there, if you look closely! I’ve been reliably informed that they’re buzzards…
I’ve been trying for years to capture a full moon rising behind these towers on Cape Clear.

As I saw the moon rise over the horizon I began to laugh manically, knowing that after all this time it had finally worked out for me…

Soft evening in the neighbourhood…

My plan for the moon the other night got messed up at the last minute, necessitating a scramble to an alternative location. Happy with what I managed to salvage; looking south on Olaf St. with the Strawberry moon rising over the neighbourhood

The narrator had walked down from "29 Arbour Hill," (the house on the left of this terrace) where an old plumber named Geraghty" lived, and who was refusing to reimburse a grocer "by the name of Moses Herzog."

"I was just passing the time of day with old Troy of the D. M. P. at the corner of Arbour hill there and...who should I see dodging along Stony Batter only Joe Hynes.’

Delighted to see some of my photos accompany a feature in the latest edition of Architecture Ireland, on the Children’s Grief Centre in #Limerick city, another beautiful scheme by Drake Hourigan Architects

I’ve always liked this view of the city because of exactly that!
A very faint & nearly full moon rising over #Dublin city yesterday evening, in glorious sunshine

It was all just a bad dream…
Never thought I’d get the chance to see the great Dan Reeder play live…what a joy to witness him play this evening in Vicar St., accompanied beautifully by his daughter Peggy.

I was a child when I last entered the incredible Hintze Hall of the Natural History Museum in #London, with a 25 meter long skeleton of a blue whale suspended overhead.

My sense of wonder was unabated as I returned here after 40 years…
