In the 11+ years of working in Higher Education, I think there has been one year that didn’t feature some form of job loss/redundancy event.

In any other industry, such as steel, was threatened with the loss of 12,000 jobs the government would intervene. But with Universities and Higher Education it’s just a Friday.

I walked along one side of The Strip, and then back down the other. About three hours. It was quite pleasant.
