Interesting. Thought I'd nailed him as a Blairite, but not so. Classic mercurial politician behaviour perhaps? For the most successful leader, perhaps this is an essential skill; to be able to maneuver across the part of the political spectrum encompassed by their party, depending on how wind blows

Reform councillor and Doncaster mayoral candidate Alexander Jones needs to urgently provide a family tree showing us where all of his several hundred thousand unique ancestors in the 10th century were living.

Or I for one won't believe he's a real English man.

It's less likely to happen if people need to pay more. Also, other alt techs aren't ready e.g. H2-fuel, 0-carbon synthetic fuel (e-fuel ICE)

Less of an opinion, more of a theory: Frank Spencer from "Some Mothers do 'Ave 'Em" was a black ops, deep cover MI6 agent captured by the Soviets. He escaped back to the UK, but was never quite the same.

His traumatic experiences in the Gulag go some way to explaining his hapless demeanour (IMO)
