after spending the morning teaching my MIL how to use the new OS and make bookmarks for sites she wants to revisit (2025, y’all), it strikes me that we have vastly overestimated our ability to fight disinformation. we need massive education for our most empowered voting block - senior citizens.

Yes, Olivia Rodrigo was inspired by Taylor to get control of her masters, and that’s great! But Prince helped Hendrix’s estate get back control of his recordings. And pushed everyone from Madonna to Nas to DMX to Mariah Carey to Jay Z on owning their masters *decades* earlier. That opened the door.

Reminder that Collier made her statement at her EXIT interview; her season is done. Mercury, Aces, and Fever players are focused on games they have to play. Their comments and thoughts will come when their own seasons are done. We should not be pressuring them to focus on anything but their game.
