This is a fantastic article that points out exactly what my response was--Ed Gein had no interest in any form of cross-dressing or transfemininity! The media of the time literally just made it up!

I will say I do like Charlie Hunnam so far, it's fantastic to see him switch it up. I have read complaints about his voice but Ed Gein allegedly talked like this. I'm very, very concerned about people missing the point of Gein wanting to embody his mother, not becoming a woman, though.

Tentatively watching it so far and I've seen some concerns about tranpshobia from this story of Ed Gein cross-dressing (which he never did) and wanting to be woman. The latter is more of Ed Gein missing his mother so much that he thought he could become her to ease that pain.

He's also made previous comments like how I need a sugar daddy/boyfriend. I'm also not the only femme presenting person who's dealt with this.

He misgenders my trans coworkers, he thinks that people choose to be queer.

Since day one, I have made it clear because my workplace also has other queer people, that I am queer. I'm asexual.

There is a man that always makes weird comments like "so, when are we going out for ice cream?". NEVER???

It is impossible for me, an AFAB person, to work in the industry that I am in without sexual harassment. I've been in this industry since 2008 and I can say not once have I not dealt with sexual harassment.
