Honored to keynote today’s celebration of 25 years for Healthcare For The Homeless, and still in awe of Dr. David Buck’s vision and commitment to make it happen.
Happy Friday!

Great news: @lgbtqvictoryfund.bsky.social LGBTQ+ Victory Fund has endorsed me for Harris County Judge 🧑🏼‍⚖️🏳️‍🌈. I’m excited to lead the charge.
It was time to visit the West Houston Democrats last night!

Never in the history of the US has any president openly and repeatedly called for the investigation, arrest & prosecution of his political opponents. While many continue to shrug these things off and normalize them, I will never stop pointing out that this is what autocrats do.
Enjoying the ALF gala tonight! We are Class 17 and Class 24! Congrats to honorees Art Chavez and Lisa Helfman.

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

So long as they don’t limit it to government employees …. That’s not a half bad idea
If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net
Happy Monday!

I’m excited to announce that Energy & Environmental Democrats have endorsed me for Harris County Judge. Thank you for working to keep our county safe, secure, and sustainable.
Our rights—and our lives—are under attack. We need to sharpen every tool in the toolkit. @lambdalegal.org has been defending LGBTQ folks for more than 50 years and we are proud to support them.
We were State of Tx Rainbow Inspectors last night—removing rainbows wherever we found them. You can never be too careful around rainbows.
A little rain didn’t stop the fun at the St. Mary’s Gumbo fest! It’s been too long—used to come every year for food and zydeco!
It’s great to see community banding together to provide resources and critical information about voting. Was happy to attend this Pasadena Town Hall—and catch up with lots of old friends!
It’s called “pay to play.”
Why is Apple, Microsoft, Lockheed Martin, Blackstone, Google, OpenAI, Amazon and others financing the destruction of the WH and desecration of the grounds, something that is infuriating to huge chunk of the American population? Do you hate your customers that much?

Why does everyone keep calling it “The Epstein Ballroom?” Please stop repeating “The Epstein Ballroom” because it is not called “The Epstein Ballroom!” Don’t tell the news that it’s called “The Epstein Ballroom” and please don’t repost this!!!!!

Pity the nation whose leaders are liars
Whose sages are silenced and whose bigots haunt the airwaves
Pity the nation that praises conquerors & acclaims the bully as hero
Pity the people who allow their freedoms to erode & their rights to be washed away
My country tears of thee
Sweet land of liberty!
What a dedicated crowd! Thank you to @area5dems.bsky.social for hosting a special Q&A during their monthly meeting. I appreciate the opportunity to share how I plan to uplift all of Harris County.
Changed into dry clothes and joined the “No Kings” protest at Houston City Hall. Thousands of patriotic Americans exercising their constitutional rights and standing up for democracy!
Reporting in from the “No Kings” protest in mighty La Porte, Texas! It isn’t just folks from the big cities standing up to the wanna be dictator! We even had a special green guest from Portland. And the rain was refreshing!
We have to uplift the importance of infrastructure investment and promote sound business practices in the industry. Thank you to the ACEC Houston for doing this work and allowing me to join you.
🤦‍♀️No Kings protests are Saturday! (I know. I’m going. I just screwed it up.)
130+ folks at CyTom Democrats tonight. These are the purple suburbs—and the group was high energy! And they’ve already made signs for Sunday’s protest!
Nothing beats connecting with passionate Democrats who are ready to make change happen! Thank you to Humble Area Dems for the opportunity to join you. #humble #humbledemocrats
