If plastics were a nation we’d have launched a full-scale military attack against it by now. A very close ally of fossil fuels. Which nations can’t agree on a treaty? Exclude them and get the f*ck on with it. The pretence we need everyone onboard is nonsense.

Norway is officially one of the world's least self-sufficient nations due to its unfortunate geography (especially lack of arable land) and miserable climate. It lacks sufficient natural and human capital and must import almost everything it needs. A humanitarian crisis within months during war. 🤷‍♂️

Crucially, private car ownership is not sustainable regardless how powered. EVs improve local air quality, but, as with ICEVs, the current level of resources being consumed to produce cars is insanely unsustainable. We need electric public transport.

Norway is tiny and for most of its EV campaign had cheap electricity. It's never been based on environmental values. Norway doesn't have any environmental value. It's always been about lower financial (subsidised) cost. Now incentives are being stripped away, expect sales of new ICEVs to go up.

This is Norwegian propaganda. Several years ago politicians in Norway started a PR stunt about how "Norway was going to ban the sale of new ICEVs by 2025". Instead, in 2025, they now claim "100% of new car sales are EVs". This is a lie no one bothers fact checking. 🤷‍♂️

Norway is a resource-poor petrostate witha primitive extractive economy and remains the poorest country in Europe due unfortunate geography and miserable climate. There's nothing to invest in in Norway - hence its big oil fund making Norwegians lazy and complacent. Most cars in Norway are ICEVs too.

Let's be honest, London's revenue alone makes North Sea oil tiny. The UK hasn't ever been a resource-poor petrostate on the periphery with nothing to invest in. At its peak, North Sea oil contributed <2% to GDP. If you can't be honest and factual, you won't credibly support Scottish independence.
