❗️Russia canceled its first Russia-Arab summit because most of Arab leaders would not attend it.

The summit was supposed to take place on October 15, but a week earlier, it turned out that only acting president of Syria and Prime Minister of Iraq confirmed their participation.

The U.S. Senate has approved its version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) - the annual legislation that sets funding levels and authorities for the American military, according to CNN, The New York Times, and The Hill.

The final vote was 77-20.

The summit was first announced back in April, and Russia invited heads of 22 Arab states to attend. The slogan was "cooperation for peace, stability and security."

The Kremlin said it would be rescheduled for November.
