Touting my jornalism* ethics. Michigan awards prizes via MIPA. In my last two years of high school I won 5 first place awards. Two for best news article. Two for best feature. And one for editing. I was also the youngest person ever hired for the Detroit Free Press. I worked for the Metro Times.

It means Andrew. And my closest friends and even my mom call me "Andy." I am named after my grandfather. Please don't call me "Andy." Call me Andrew if you like, that's often how I go as. I prefer "Andrzej" but I know that is a struggle. "Ond-zhey."

Having a "foreign" name (Andrzej is my full legal name) has been a hindrance to me legally for most of my life. But I get so much tail for it, you don't even know. I've got a line-up of people who want to fuck me because I am exotic.

My response was, and I can quote, "They're just kids." A lot of the racism I've seen is targeted at black teenagers. The thing is teenagers are fucking awful. Have you met them? They are loud and annoying. Black or white, doesn't matter.

I miss being in Portland sometimes. But then, it was also the most racist place I have ever lived in. And I have lived in redneck rural Midwest. Portland is when I was going out for a smoke. Some black teens were just being loud and teens. And some MF just comes to me "n***ers, am I right?"

Me too. I have more than once driven from Detroit to Montreal to see them. That's no small drive, but they kept saying it was their last show ever... many times. The obvious advantage was getting to be in Montreal.

Urchin once meant a spiny mammal. Namely, a hedgehog and such. Over time though we found these sea creatures and decided that they looked a lot like groundpigs, and thus urchins as we know them are named.

If you haven't already, see them live. I have crossed hours and timezones to see them play. I took roadtrips to see them play several of their "last shows ever." Their live shows are a phenomenon. Mildly put.

If I'm honest, sometimes I do miss being Christian. I miss the community. I have an awesome pagan community now, but they are like in Florida and Kraljevo. I can't exactly give them a hug.

Best was the WBC protested outside our church. In response we sang hymns at the entrance to drown them out.

"Healthy masculinity" is something big on my table. I have a lot of nephews. We're doing our job to raise them in that feminism is honor. Fighting for someone is better than just fighting. The oldest is 20-yo now, and he is a paragon.

Woke in an absolute fright. Nightmares are never nice, but as a recovering drug addict relapse dreams are the fucking worst. I know my folk get these too. I've been off heroin for over seven years, and it still won't leave me alone.

My official and legal name is Andrzej 'Andrew.' It's what I go with other than "Andrzej" is my sexy, spicy name. "Andrzej" is my stripper name.

It would be easier to spell that, but I assure you my surname gets even more brutal. Yet. ICE doesn't fuck with me.
