I put so many releases aside to focus on this one this month, and I'm glad I did it, because man, what a game.

And to think that this month I still have both a Katamari and a Ninja Gaiden game to look forward to, Not to mention the other dozens of great releases, what a packed year!!!

I didn't know gifs had sound now, because I can hear this one loud and clear 🤣

Annihilation is the best action comedy movie (that wasn't meant to be a comedy) ever made. Watching it with friends while getting drunk is as fun as it gets.

Today I finished my first Absolum run.

I'm nowhere near done with it, but at this point I'm just gonna say it: this is my game of the year, hands down. It is everything I hoped it would be and then some. And it gets even better after rolling credits for the first time. Please, play Absolum.

Have you ever played any of the Knights of Valour games? They're really neat.

There are two that run on the PGM hardware and are easy to emulate, and one that runs on Atomisware that was unofficially ported to the Dreamcast, so it is also not hard to get running, tho I haven't played that one.

Yeah, there are so many hilarious moments, some of them a tad too relevant in modern days 👀

And I mean, the major TV channel that continues to distort Ratchet's story is called "Vox." So really, they were subtle without being subtle at all with their satire 🤣

That makes sense. Most of the unlockables were meant to be used on multiplayer, so it's safe to say that's the big focus of the game and something they probably don't want to bother bringing back with a potential rerelease. A shame tho, because the single-player campaign is great too.

Developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony in 2005 for the PS2, this game is currently unavailable to be purchased or played on modern platforms, so you know what to do.

I love the original trilogy, and Ratchet 3 is my personal favorite, but this one is a really close second, I love it.

Game 285: Ratchet Deadlocked

Ditching platforming almost entirely in favor of its gunplay, while adding just enough 2000s edgy to the mix, Deadlocked took the franchise in a direction that many fans didn't approve of. But the combat is so fun and frantic, I can't help loving it, it's just a blast.

HELL YEAH MY DUDE!! Glad you're enjoying it. And yeah, Karl is so much fun to play as, I've been using him a lot as well, that grenade launcher sure is useful 🔥

Yeah, I can imagine you need a break after getting that 100% on Hades II 😅

But when you're in the mood for a great roguelite again, you already know which one I highly recommend 👀

I'm glad you asked! I think the hit game Absolum is a fun, challenging and satisfying to play game with fantastic art and a bunch of compelling characters. It is really good, believe it or not! 😌

Enjoying yet another night of peak beat 'em up action with the hit game Absolum.

I refuse to shut up about the hit game Absolum.

Hey you, need something new and exciting to play? Consider giving the hit game Absolum a try, it's really good!

Yesss, and I'M HERE FOR THE FIGHTERZ REVIVAL!!! Maybe now we can get Chi Chi and Dabura in the roster??

... I know we won't, but I can dream. Daima Goku is still fantastic tho!

And the physical game market for indie games continues to be a disappointment. 🫠

Where I live, physical Switch games aren't very affordable, so my collection is all digital, and I paid like $9 for this one. It was worth every penny, but I get that you as a collector would want the physical version.
apesnake3.bsky.social
I gave it a replay a couple of months ago and I can confirm, having just enough context makes the second time around so much more interesting. I'm sure you'll have a blast with it again!!
apesnake3.bsky.social
I played it on the 3DS. That version is a little less visually impressive, but it's still one of the best 2D platformers ever made. My favorite is still Tropical Freeze, but this one comes pretty close!

I need to get that Switch version one of these days, to finally play it on a big screen.

Developed by Giant Squid and published by 505 games in 2016 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with a Switch port releasing in 2018, this game is still available on all modern platforms via its original release.

Game 284: Abzû

Abzû is a game about immersing yourself in a gorgeous ocean, filled to the brim with fantastic sights. There are goals, puzzles and a deep little story here, but really, the pinnacle of this game's enjoyment comes from swimming around and observing the beauty of the ocean.
