Ugh. Coffee hasn't kicked in yet. What I mean is just about all the other sources are crediting TDM with this info. No reputable sources found. I mean, this could be true, but I'll wait for more credible info.

Agree. While it does seem to be reported by multiple sources, it does seem that just about all of them are repeating them. Come on, they're a frickin' gossip rag.

OK... I am not quite gonna be the grammar police and correct this to "sycophant" because I think you are onto something here. I will simply amend it to "psychophant" instead. Because he's not only a bootlicker, he's also ramping up the loony. "Psychophant" is PERFECT!!!!!!

I honestly don't know about any of that, and I would not have said this before... but I would not be surprised to learn that at the very least, they now have more influence.

Well. Y'know. I used to cry. Until I found out what people in some other countries pay for things. If they are even available. Bad as it is here right now... it's hella worse elsewhere and I try very hard to remember that when I'm exclaiming in horror about yet another price increase. ::sigh::

You're welcome to interpret it however you like, and I am sure there is some truth to that.

However, I think saying something like, "the zebra calling the tiger striped" would be very similar.

I've seen some folks opine that she knows it could be productive to stay on his good side ATM... others feel she's just as bad... I don't know and I will now be watching.

If the former... it does kinda bug me she was SO effusive about it.

Yeah. It kinda did, at least, she posted something very similar on social media. It bothers me that folks on our side are getting just as quick to believe what fits our narrative as the other side. I don't like the truth in this case, but I must acknowledge the possibility this really did happen.

Yeah, and how many non-Latino roofers do you see in the middle of the summer, too!? Or landscaping? I know, they are PEOPLE and should not be spoken of like commodities... but that is the only way you're going to get magats to see them as the great contribution they are to the population.

Because people used black cast iron pans way back? That would be my interpretation, anyway? I suppose that may have been a little before your time, even. Your mom likely had some of the newer, lighter, thinner metal cookware.

Yup. There's one right there. I know what it means and it's NOT related... but I know what kind of looks I'd get if I said it out loud in the company of others.

I won't provide examples of those words because too many are too easily offended these days. All I can say is they didn't have the significance they do today, they did not seem to have negative connotation then. I'm trying, but sometimes I slip up and appreciate gentle correction.
