Supposedly, they were “broken up,” but they didn’t seem like finished business.
Rewind watched them with glistening eyes in a stone face when Gemmi wasn’t flirting with him, instead.
“Reeeeewind, I like your hair today!” Gemmi giggled as she tousled it, leaned in toward his face, then scrambled off.
“Ooooo, let’s see those LEGS!” she’d screech as she yanked down his saggy pants, smacked his butt, and grabbed him from behind.
“Do I have anything on my shirt?” she would ask, as she’d push her boobs up while walking backwards in front of him.
Rewind blushed and chuckled at these harassments.
Glitch would jump into the middle. “Aw, c’mon, those CHICKEN legs??” “Yeah, looks like you dribbled on yourself, Gemmi!”

I mean, there is a bit of crime and weird vibes, it is an American city, and we're under attack by our own government- I'm grateful for local and state leaders who are fighting to defend the people

pretty peaceful here except for a smattering of occupiers in one city block
rains are settling in, we're making Halloween plans and celebrating friends' birthdays and meditating in the park and going for walks and bike rides...

Fallen Comfort Age cities were reinforced and inhabited by defensive dominions. Mirroring old castle cities, people reinforced walls and brought in food from outside.
Fancy skyscrapers of glass stuck out of inland beaches, covered in bird poop. Inland seas grew and deserts spread where hippies, yuppies, celebrities, and inferno fires had twinkled, smoldered, raged, and burnt out in California.
And then, fires had burned much of what there was to burn. The skies began to clear of the swirling smoke. Trash islands were reabsorbed, broken down, covered in algae and barnacles. Some were sucked into the cold depths, or created floating island habitats for seals to rest. Bastions of hope where nature attempted to find balance again.
