I'm looking through what I think is the oldest text document about DELTARUNE that I can find. This is one of the first facts about Susie. Even though this has never happened in the game, everyone just intuitively understands this as true. I won.
It's so annoying when people call everything gay 24/7 or they can only define a mlm ship by the fact its gay, like holy shit just because its queer doesn't mean it's good. You're missing out on actually amazing writing and stories just because you can only define a "good" ship based on genders
Just saw one of the best Ein character analysises ever the world is healing

I'd call it more playful teasing but yeah

Also he'd totally tell Lucas to do it himself and then do it for him anyway lmao
Also if you're going to ask, yes, this is just a long thread of me complaining about people mischaracterizing fto David
I promise you he is NOT waking up and calling Lucas his precious beautiful sweetie cutie bear or whatever the fuck
Anyway more rambles lol. Hopefully I stayed mostly on track for this and it makes sense lmao
Yes some aro people want that extreme romance or ace people want extreme sexual things, but if a character has already shown their way of loving someone and its not that to any extreme there's no real reason to write them into those situations it's perfectly fine for them to love quietly and gently
A genuinely common thing I see is people taking aro characters or ace characters and putting them into stereotypical romantic or sexual relationships and then just throwing the "aro people can date/ace people can have sex" card around with out actually caring about representation or aroace people
Or if you do things for your partner so they don't have to work as hard, literally EVERYTHING about the relationship makes it unique and it's important to show how people can love differently even if they don't
Different forms of love aren't just based on somebody's gender and the gender of their partner it's about every aspect of the relationship. Which does include the way you show your affection, like how often you have date nights, or physical touch, or sex, or pet names, how often you say i love you,
As being okay, you're not always going to be able to be over the top in every single situation and rewriting a character to be like that ESPECIALLY one that's lgbt+ it's such an honestly shitty thing, and I feel like it takes that representation of actual different kinds of love away.
As someone who is aroace and bi, stereotyping untraditional forms of expressing your love for someone is SUCH an important thing. We shouldn't all have to be forced into an expectation that's a lot of people may not ever be able to reach. Some people aren't all lovey dovey and that should be shown +
When people try to shove characters into a role they weren't made for its for one annoying as hell but two it defeats the entire point of the character and waters them down
I understand wanting to write ushy gushy romance things but some characters AND PEOPLE won't go through that.
Annoying when people write straight people like that bc it's not as simple as that most of the time. There's not a provider and caretaker in relationships most things SHOULD BE split evenly. ITS A RELATIONSHIP you're supposed to work together

I got slightly off track but you get what I mean

Basic overused tropes and shit

Anyway my point here is more so with aromantic spec characters and other queer characters

Most lgbtqia+ relationships don't fit into heterosexual stereotype roles. There's not going to be a big strong alpha male man and his submissive dainty wife. It's already +
