I never read Slate that much, but one thing I sorely miss is Joshua Keating's "If It Happened There" series- It took some real art and talent with satire to do that and I think that, however much respect it got, it wasn't enough.

I also appreciate that rather than going the normal JRPG route of "God/wannabe God is evil and must be exploded" it instead goes "What if Judas knew something that we don't and the church covered it up"

So the game just has a lot of unique flavor that allows it to stay memorable and persist
